This year Kapat of kedarnat temple were opened on May 3rd 2017. Main idol of this temple is Shiva Linga. This temple is located at the elevation of 6500 ft above sea level and provide panoramic view of Kedarnath Peak and Himalaya which is breathtaking scene for tourists and pilgrims.This is the wedding place of Bholenath/Shiva/Shivji and Parvati/Gauri. Story behind this temple is that Once God Shiva said to his sons Ganesha and Kartikey that the one who will come first in taking seven rounds of universe will be worshiped always first. Ganesha took Seven rounds of his parents Shiva and parvati and Kartikey took seven round of universe but Bholenath and Gauri mata were impressed with Ganesha. They declared that he will be worshiped always first kartikey was not happy with this decision and in angry he left his parents and sacrificed his body in this place.
Dhari devi is beautiful temple located at the bank of Alaknanda River in Rudraprayag District. It is one of Shakti Peeth and here Upper Half Part Goddess kali is worshiped.
